Privacy Policy for Mathcards

Mathcards (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Mathcards mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide core app features:

• Account Information (Firebase Authentication):
  • Email address (for email/password login)
  • Basic profile information from Google Sign-In (such as name and email address), depending on what you choose to share with Google and Firebase
  • Firebase user ID (UID)
• App Data You Create (Firestore):
  • Cards and related study content you create and save in the app
  • App-related settings or progress data associated with your account
• Technical/Diagnostics Data:
  • Basic technical information required for secure sign-in and service operation (for example, device/app metadata handled by Firebase services)

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• Create and manage your account
• Authenticate you via email/password or Google Sign-In
• Save and sync your cards data using Firestore
• Provide, maintain, and improve app functionality
• Protect account security and prevent abuse
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share data only with service providers needed to run the app, including:

• Google Firebase Authentication (for login)
• Google Cloud Firestore (for storing your cards data)

These providers process data on our behalf to provide the app’s core features.

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.

Mathcards does not display third-party ads and does not use advertising SDKs.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and cards data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, or legitimate business reasons.

5. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing

Mathcards is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
